
To become a member of the Mineral Society of Manitoba, simply attend one of our monthly meetings, and bring our membership form (below) with your membership dues, or contact us directly for more information. Annual membership fees are $15 for individuals and $20 for family. We welcome new members anytime.
Meetings:
Evening meetings, with a featured guest speaker, are held on the second Wednesday of each month, September to December and January to May, Details are provided in the monthly newsletter, The Mineral Vein.
Field Trips:
The Mineral Society organizes a number of field trips to fossil and mineral collecting sites of interest during the summer and early fall months. Past excursions have included visits to the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota, the Tanco Mine at Bernic Lake as well as excursions to Atikokan and Thunder Bay in Ontario.
Newsletter:
The Mineral Vein is published and emailed to all members from September to May. Each issue contains a summary of the previous month's presentation, announcements about upcoming meetings and special events, and short articles related to rockhounding and mineralogy.
