About UsFounded in 1971, the Mineral Society of Manitoba Ltd. is dedicated to promoting the study of minerals, rocks and fossils for their scientific and recreational value.
The Mineral Society of Manitoba hosts monthly meetings covering a variety of mineral related topics. In addition, the Mineral Society organizes summer field trips to collecting localities, and hosts educational exhibits about minerals and fossils. |

Monthly Meeting Location, Date and Time
Meetings are held on the SECOND WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH starting in September.
Doors open at 5:30 PM, door prize draw at 6:00 presentation will start at 6:30. Most meetings will also be available virtually via MS Teams.
January 2025 Meeting

Presentation: Canada's Lunar Exploration
Canada is taking an increasing role in future lunar exploration. The University of Winnipeg is involved in a number of these missions.
This talk describes these upcoming missions, our role, and what we hope or plan to learn about lunar mineralogy.

Parking is available on the street or behind the building in the parking lot
(Most meetings have both in person and virtual access options)
